FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution midfielder Carles Gil has been named to the 2019 Major League Soccer Best XI. Gil, who was also named the MLS 2019 Newcomer of the Year, was voted by MLS players, technical staffs, and members of the media as one of the league's top 11 players for the 2019 season. He becomes the eighth player in Revolution history to receive a Best XI selection, and the first since Lee Nguyen in 2014.
Gil's Best XI selection adds to an already-impressive list of accolades stemming from his outstanding debut season in MLS.
