The New England Revolution have been without the heart and soul of their team for far too long, but on Friday night the wait was over. Carles Gil made his return.
Gil had been out since July after having surgery on his left Achilles. The original timetable for a return was set at 3-5 months. It seemed like the Revolution would be without Gil for the rest of the 2020 season.
But Gil put in the work and we saw him make his return to training within the last two weeks and on Friday, Gil made his return to MLS action.
