Agudelo, Rowe lead young USMNT into friendly vs. Portugal (3:45 p.m. ET, FS1)

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – While still smarting from last month’s failed World Cup qualifying campaign, Tuesday afternoon’s friendly against third-ranked Portugal will give the U.S. Men’s National Team a much-needed glimpse at the future of the program.

New England Revolution standouts Juan Agudelo and Kelyn Rowe hope to play significant roles in that future, and they both feature on the 21-man squad that will visit Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria. Remarkably, Agudelo (24) and Rowe (25) are two of the more senior players on a roster that features 12 players aged 24 or younger, including a trio of teenagers in their first USMNT camp.
