On Wednesday, the New England Revolution grabbed the second spot in the MLS Allocation Order in a trade with the San Jose Earthquakes. The Allocation Order is used to determine which MLS teams have first dibs on select Senior and Youth U.S. National Team players, as well as returning players who garnered a transfer fee of at least $500,000.
The trade could be a sign that the Revs are preparing to make a move when the Secondary Transfer Window opens or it could mean nothing at all. Since it’s silly season in MLS, let’s assume the former and look at five names that the Revs could be looking to add.
