Kei Kamara is off to Vancouver. After 48 starts and 19 goals with the Revolution, the MLS veteran will join the Whitecaps, his sixth American club in 11 professional seasons.
In Foxboro, Kamara showed flashes of the form that helped him win the MLS Golden Boot three years ago, though his playing style never seemed to align with the Revolution system. Now rebuilding under Brad Friedel, the Revs decided to part ways with the Sierra Leone international ahead of his third season with the team.
But while Kamara’s tenure will be marred by unmet expectations, he still finished his share of quality strikes while wearing navy and red.
