Tom Brady Will Not Appeal Deflategate Suspension, To Sit Out 4 Games

The Deflategate saga is over.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady announced on Facebook that he will not be appealing his four-game suspension to the Supreme Court, meaning he will sit out the first month of the NFL season.

Brady was initially suspended four games last offseason for allegedly deflating footballs in the 2015 AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts. However, a judge overruled the suspension prior to last season, allowing to play the entire year.

The NFL then appealed that ruling, and the suspension was reinstated. Two days ago, Brady's appeal of that ruling was denied by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court.

Jimmy Garoppolo will start in place of Brady.
