According to the Patriots’ Wednesday injury report, quarterback Mac Jones was limited in practice as he recovers from the severe ankle sprain he sustained on September 25. However, reporter cameras spotted the second-year QB throwing and generally looking more mobile than onlookers had seen him since he sustained the injury in the closing moments of the Week 3 game against Baltimore.
While Jones was spotted at practice in recent weeks, he generally didn’t move much, preferring to stand in and throw in place. According to the Providence Journal’s Mark Daniels, there was a noticeable improvement on Wednesday as cameras spotted Jones uncorking some deep balls.
