The New England Patriots have spent years searching for explosive talent at the wide receiver position, and they might have finally found it in rookie third-round draft pick Kyle Williams.
Multiple draft analysts have labeled the former Washington State standout as the best pure separator in the 2025 NFL draft class. That skill set alone should be considered a major upgrade for a Patriots offense that succumbed to claustrophobia on receiving routes last season.
Williams is showing early that he might finally be the receiver to help fix those issues. The Patriots released a mic'd up video of Drake Maye at minicamp, and it included a clip of the second-year quarterback cheering on backup Joshua Dobbs for connecting on a deep touchdown pass with Williams.
