With just over six minutes left in the fourth quarter Monday night, Bills quarterback Derek Anderson fired a pass over the middle into the Patriots red zone. The Bills were driving downfield in hopes of making it a one-possession game, but when the play finished, it was Patriots safety Devin McCourty celebrating a touchdown.
McCourty broke early on the play, reading Anderson’s eyes to step in front of intended receiver Charles Clay. The safety caught the pass clean, then sprinted 84 yards untouched along the sideline for a pick six.
