Undrafted rookie Efton Chism III joined the New England Patriots as a long-shot roster hopeful, and in a matter of months, he proved himself worthy of a main roster spot for a team that carried 12 wide receivers at one point.
The former Eastern Washington standout flew so far under the radar that few even looked in his direction. That obviously changed the moment his feet touched grass on an NFL practice field. His play started to do the talking, and heads began to turn.
In two preseason game appearances, Chism led the Patriots in receptions and receiving yards.
