The New England Patriots gave Julian Edelman his proper send-off in front of a sellout crowd last weekend and his introduction was as familiar as ever.
At halftime during Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, Edelman did his trademark sprint out of the tunnel 100 yards down the field to the opposite end zone one final time before speaking in front of a podium with his daughter Lily in his arms.
“I want to take a little time to thank the Kraft family, coach [Bill] Belichick, and all my teammates,” Edelman said. “I miss them to death.
