Undrafted rookie Quinn Nordin wins Patriots kicking job, team cuts Nick Folk

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —

An undrafted rookie appears to have won the New England Patriots starting kicker job.

Quinn Nordin, 23, is the only kicker left on the Patriots roster as the NFL transaction wire shows the team cut 13-year NFL veteran Nick Folk on Tuesday.

ESPN's Field Yates was the first to report that the Patriots were expected to stick with Nordin as their starter over Folk.

Earlier this month, Nordin told reporters that he was looking for other jobs on LinkedIn before he received a call from the Patriots, who signed him on May 6 -- five days after the conclusion of the 2021 NFL draft.
