The New England Patriots have reportedly made veteran safety Kyle Dugger and edge rusher Anfernee Jennings available for trade, per Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan.
This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has been following the Patriots' training camp and preseason. Both Dugger and Jennings have been seen working with the second-team unit on multiple occasions.
With that said, there has been a sudden shift in how the veteran defenders are viewed on the roster. The Patriots signed both players to multi-year deals last year with the expectation that they would continue to serve as key fixtures on the defensive unit.
