Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones sign football to fight Alzheimer's in honor of Jacksonville man

The local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will soon be auctioning off an autographed football with strong Jacksonville ties. One signature is from Jaguars' quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The other is from fellow rookie quarterback Mac Jones, who grew up in Jacksonville and is now starting for the New England Patriots.

The common link between the two stars' signatures?

The late Stan Stipe, who had gained some gridiron distinction in the 1980s as a long snapper for the Georgia Southern Eagles, where he weighed all of 170 pounds but played with an outsized feistiness.
