Tom Brady is stepping down as honorary cochair of the local Best Buddies Challenge event and moving into a new role as a global ambassador for Best Buddies International, an organization that works to create opportunities for people with disabilities.
Brady is moving on after 16 years as honorary cochair of the annual challenge in Hyannis Port, a cycling, run, and walk fund-raiser that raises money for the international organization, Best Buddies announced Tuesday. Celebrity chef Guy Fieri and Congressman Joseph Kennedy III, the event’s current cochairs, will be filling the leadership gap, the organization said in a statement.
