Tom Brady challenges Lamar Jackson to unique footrace of sorts

After Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson rushed for 84 yards against the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football, he found his name etched into NFL immortality. The tally of ground yards was just enough to catapult Jackson past his childhood idol – Michael Vick – into being the new No. 1 in the record books.

Vick had 1,039 rushing yards during the 2006 Atlanta Falcons season. It set the bar for single-season rushing yards by a signal-caller, and was a record that Vick himself suggested would never be broken.

But Jackson – in just his second year as a pro – broke Vick’s record with two full regular season games to spare.
