The New England Patriots have waived former Texas A&M OL

Former Texas A&M starting offensive lineman Layden Robinson, who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, was on track to develop into a future starting O-lineman after his successful career in College Station. However, Robinson was selected by the former Patriots head coach, Jerod Mayo, who was fired after the 2024 season.

During his first season with the Franchise, Robinson started 11 games, including six at right guard and five at left guard, so on its face, the Manvel, Texas native looked to be on the right track heading into his sophomore NFL season.
