The New England Patriots seem to have promoted one rookie tight end at the expense of another ahead of their matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. Dalton Keene will make his NFL debut after a series of healthy scratches, with Devin Asiasi getting second-string work in the first six weeks of the season. Asiasi, however, is among the team’s inactives for Week 7.
Defensive tackle Carl Davis, safety Kyle Dugger, quarterback Brian Hoyer, running back J.J. Taylor and defensive back Myles Bryant were also inactive for New England.
