In November, Shane Vereen told MassLive’s Karen Guregian on “Eye On Foxborough” that he’d love his former New England Patriots team to draft Rome Odunze because he’s “arguably the best receiver in college football.”
“I think Rome Odunze is a game changer. He’s a big playmaker, he runs great routes, he’s always open. And I think that’s the piece that we were talking about earlier with the Patriots offense,” the Super Bowl XLIX champion said. “... That’s the piece that can help the entire offense.”
After the Washington wideout put on a show at the NFL Combine this weekend, including catching a lot of attention during the three-cone drill — one of the Patriots’ favorite events — it’s fair to wonder whether New England will give Odzune a closer look.
