New England Patriots wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk made his long-awaited return to the practice field in pads for Day 5 of training camp on Monday.

The 2024 second-round draft pick had missed the previous four practices, despite passing an initial physical. According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Polk was dealing with "minor muscle tightness," and the team was taking a cautious approach.

It might end up paying off for Polk, who showed up and hauled in a touchdown pass during the red zone work at practice. He ran wide open on a beautiful play-action fake by quarterback Drake Maye, who connected with him on a corner route for six points.
