Steve Grogan set to take field one more time on Pats-Jets week

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Quarterback Steve Grogan led the New England Patriots in 149 games played from 1975 to 1990, and he’s looking forward to taking the field one more time on Sunday.

No passes will be thrown, but the 64-year-old Grogan promises a good time.

“It’s just a fun event,” Grogan said Wednesday, referencing the annual “Game with the Greats” that serves as the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Patriots Alumni Association. “It’s a nice way to get to know guys who played before and after my era, or anybody’s era.
