Steve Belichick reportedly set to become defensive coordinator for the University of Washington

Steve Belichick reportedly taking a new job: After Bill Belichick and the Patriots parted ways in January, his sons’ futures in New England were an inevitable question.

Both Steve and Brian Belichick were defensive assistants for the Patriots under their father. As of Monday morning, it appears Steve has a new gig.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Belichick has agreed to become the defensive coordinator at the University of Washington in 2024:

Belichick will work under newly appointed head coach Jedd Fisch, who overlapped as a member of the Patriots staff in 2020 (coaching the team’s quarterbacks).
