New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs had encouraging words for quarterback Drake Maye after the Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
All told, Maye did not play terribly. He went 30-of-46 on the afternoon, throwing for 287 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Diggs played decently in his Patriots debut. He recorded six catches for 57 yards on a day where the offense only put up 13 points.
The Patriots know that they need to play better next week against the Miami Dolphins. With that said, Diggs is not worried about Maye, as the team gets set to face their first divisional opponent of the season.
