Standout rookie WR makes play of the day on Day 1 of Patriots minicamp

New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams made a name for himself at the collegiate level with his big-play abilities.

He teased that same potential to be a game-changer at the next level by hauling in a deep throw from backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs that traveled 40-plus yards through the air at Monday's practice. The play came during the competitive period on Day 1 of the Patriots' mandatory minicamp.

Dobbs saw Williams matched up with a linebacker and let it rip down the field between two safeties.

The Patriots have been searching for an explosive talent at the receiver position for years.
