Belichick was earning something in the range of $25 million per season, according to Sportico.com. Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton is now the highest-paid coach in U.S. sports leagues.
Of course, this could change if Belichick lands with a new team and gets another monster contract.
Payton earns “roughly” $18 million per year, according to Kurt Badenhausen of Sportico.com. It’s unclear where they got that number because an exact figure for Payton’s salary has not been reported.
