The Patriots aren’t exactly a team that should be spending more money on the tight end position.
At this moment, the Patriots have $33.598 million dedicated to their tight ends. That’s the most cap dollars spent on the position in the NFL by a wide margin. The New York Jets are second with around $21.08 million.
This marks the second year where the Patriots are heading into the offseason with the most money spent on tight ends. They would certainly like to get more production out of Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith.
