New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft openly admitted that the team needs to change after back-to-back regular season finishes with a 4-13 record.
He even went as far as calling the last two years the worst years in his 31 years of ownership over the Patriots. Bill Belichick was in his final year as head coach when the team fell off a cliff in 2023. Then Jerod Mayo, a first-year head coach, was brought in and expected to clean up the mess.
Things didn't turn out well for him. The rising young coach was quickly fired at the end of the season, with Kraft admitting he was put in an "untenable" situation.
