Patriots owner Robert Kraft stepped up when his country and state needed him most. At a time when some of his billionaire team-owning peers are waffling over whether pay hourly workers during the coronavirus pandemic, Kraft sent his team’s plane to China on a humanitarian mission to procure more than 1 million N95 respirator masks for woefully under-protected medical workers in Massachusetts. It was an exceptional philanthropic gesture and will almost certainly save lives. But to Atlantic columnist and former ESPN personality Jemele Hill, it was a moment to bludgeon Kraft for supporting his longtime friend Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
