Resetting Patriots WR room after Ja'Lynn Polk's season-ending injury

One of the biggest question marks ahead of roster cuts for the New England Patriots was the fate of second-year wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk.

Would the team keep him on the roster for another year and hope he would eventually figure things out, or would they view it as an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and cut their losses?

That decision was ultimately made for them on Thursday when NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Polk would be undergoing season-ending surgery for a shoulder injury. It's an injury that stemmed from the Patriots' preseason opener against the Washington Commanders.
