Another major domino was close to falling for New England Patriots coach Jerod Mayo’s staff, but things went in the opposite direction, according to a report from KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson on Friday.
Per Wilson, Atlanta Falcons special teams coordinator Marquise Williams was offered a position with the Patriots, but he declined their offer.
That means two things for New England: The team really is looking to move on from Cameron Achord, and offensive coordinator might not be the only tough sell for Mayo and company when filling the new coaching staff.
