Report: Patriots re-sign WR Kendrick Bourne to 3-year contract

The Patriots have reportedly re-upped one of their top pass-catchers ahead of the start of free agency.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots are re-signing wide receiver Kendrick Bourne to a three-year contract worth up to $33 million. The 28-year-old wideout was expected to hit free agency this week, with the NFL’s legal tampering period expected to begin at 12 p.m.

Bourne has been one of the few bright spots on a New England offensive unit that has underwhelmed over the last few years. In three seasons with the Patriots, Bourne has reeled in 127 catches for 1,640 yards and 10 touchdowns in 41 games.
