Report: Patriots OC job ‘not highly coveted’ for potential candidates

The New England Patriots’ offensive coordinator job reportedly isn’t highly-coveted right now for candidates.

Bill O’Brien left New England to take on the offensive coordinator position at Ohio State, and now, the Patriots will be tasked with rebuilding the offensive unit after it struggled in 2023. There’s also the uncertainty at the quarterback position.

Bailey Zappe and Mac Jones shared starting duties throughout the season, but neither solidified themselves as legitimate starting options.

The lack of offensive personnel is causing potential candidates to shy away from the position, as noted in a report from The Athletic’s Jeff Howe, as transcribed by NESN.
