On Monday, linebacker Jahlani Tavai had to leave practice early “after remaining down for an extended period of time,” reported ESPN NFL Nation reporter Mike Reiss.
Tavai went down during an 11-on-11 drill, and during his time on the ground his teammates kneeled around him and the music was turned off.
He was helped to the sidelines by safety Jabrill Peppers, and then right tackle Michael Onwenu, MassLive’s Mark Daniels posted.
Reiss and Daniels contradicted each other with Reiss reporting it was Tavai’s right leg that had limited pressure, and Daniels said it was his left.
