After the news came out Sunday that former New England Patriots receiver Reche Caldwell had been shot and killed Saturday, teams and players from around the NFL posted messages of condolences and remembrance for the former receiver.
Caldwell, 41, spent one of his six seasons in the NFL with the Patriots in 2006.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of former Patriot Reche Caldwell. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.”
The Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Chargers each tweeted something almost identical:
