Raiders trade proposal adds Patriots $16 million starting defender

The Las Vegas Raiders have a pressing need at linebacker. The team lost both of their starters in the position group from last year in free agency this offseason, as Robert Spillane left for the New England Patriots and Divine Deablo signed with the Atlanta Falcons.

Devin White and Elandon Roberts are currently slated to be the Raiders starters at linebacker in 2025. That isn't going to cut it in a deep AFC that has a plethora of dynamic offenses.

Las Vegas has a massive hole in the middle of their defense due to the departures of Spillane and Deablo, and Sportsnaut's Moe Moton believes general manager John Spytek should fill the hole by sending a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Patriots for linebacker Jahlani Tavai.
