With a new offensive coordinator in Alex Van Pelt, the New England Patriots offense will have new wrinkles for other defenses to iron out, thus creating fun opportunities for increased production from some players.
In 2023, the offense was primarily centered around Mac Jones with 2,100 passing yards, Ezekiel Elliott with 642 rushing yards and DeMario Douglas with 561 receiving yards. An abysmal offensive performance prompted drastic changes, including moving on from NFL Legend Bill Belichick and naming his long-time understudy, Jerod Mayo, as the next head coach.
Mayo quickly got to work assembling a new-look offensive coaching staff led by Van Pelt, the former Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator.
