Players tossed as Patriots, Panthers players brawl for second consecutive day

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —

Players were ejected after a brawl interrupted the joint practice of the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers for the second consecutive day.

Wednesday's fight occurred on the sideline after Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey took a big hit out of bounds. Fans watching the practice said the scuffle pushed into the stands.

Reporters noted that tempers had begun to flare a few plays earlier when Patriots wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson was injured during a kickoff return. He needed help off the field.
