Philadelphia 76ers' Ben Simmons latest to face wrath of jilted fans

On Tuesday night, Ben Simmons experienced that awkward sensation of running into an ex when the Brooklyn Nets faced the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.

Simmons was acquired from the 76ers in February but was still in street clothes when the Nets traveled to Philadelphia in March.

That didn't stop the 76ers faithful from giving him a hard time then, and it certainly didn't now, when he was actually on the court. While Simmons signed autographs for fans in the stands and played well early on -- putting up 11 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, three steals and three blocks -- the crowd was profane and merciless, booing him constantly as the Nets fell to the Joel Embiid- and James Harden-less 76ers 115-106.
