The New England Patriots are entering their post-Bill Belichick rebuild with not only a new head coach but also a new first-round quarterback in place. Drake Maye, who was drafted third overall by the team in April, was brought aboard to become a franchise player at the most important position in the sport.
While Maye plays the biggest on-field role in this process, the team’s fortunes do not rest on his shoulders alone. The Patriots’ other young talent also needs to show proper development to get the team back to its winning ways after not winning a playoff game in five years now.
