The New England Patriots announced on Sunday that offensive guard Layden Robinson had been waived with an injury designation.
Robinson was only in his second year with the Patriots after being selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft. His release is another dark mark on what some already view as one of the worst draft classes in franchise history for New England.
He started in 11 games for the Patriots last season and made 13 game appearances. There was hope that he would develop into a key contributor at guard, but the consistency wasn't there for the former Texas A&M standout.
