New England Patriots veteran wide receiver Mack Hollins revealed the advice he gave to second-year wideout Javon Baker.
Hollins signed with the Patriots in free agency, and he has competed with the top wide receiver group throughout training camp. Meanwhile, Baker has been on the roster bubble with special teams likely being his only hope of making the team.
As a veteran player who has been on six teams, Hollins understands the process of cutdown day, and he did his best to explain it to his younger teammate.
“I'm on Year 9. There's not many people that played for nine years, and a lot of that was special teams—and to the point where a lot of guys didn't realize that I played special teams early in my career.
