It’s time for the organization to see whether the kid is going to sink or swim.
Maye had a tremendous rookie season, despite had something of a leash on him at all times throughout 2024. Alex Van Pelt admitted as much, with the former offensive coordinator choosing not to incorporate certain concepts as a way to keep his rookie healthy and focus on the development of more fundamental aspects to his game.
New England should be thrilled that he approached it that way, but now that the roster has been sured up around him, want to start testing the waters of the franchise quarterback’s capabilities.
