The New England Patriots reportedly added another player to their active roster Sunday, bringing the total to 91.
No, you’re usually not allowed to carry that many players, but the organization once again is taking advantage of a roster quirk that has become quite advantageous over the last few years.
New England is signing defensive tackle David Olajiga, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, bringing the native of England onto the roster through the International Player Pathway — which keeps him from counting against the roster until final cuts.
Olajiga, 27, originally signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Central Missouri in 2024.
