FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- In a move that helps secure more depth at running back, the New England Patriots are signing former Tennessee Titan Bishop Sankey to their practice squad, a source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Sankey was a 2014 second-round draft choice in Tennessee who didn't meet expectations, and in 2016 found himself buried on the depth chart behind trade acquisition DeMarco Murray and second-round draft choice Derrick Henry.
The 5-foot-10, 209-pound Sankey totaled 199 carries for 762 yards (3.8 avg.) and three touchdowns over his first two seasons.
