Patriots sign new center to practice squad, cut former UFL player

The New England Patriots announced they have signed center Brenden Jaimes to the practice squad and released Alec Lindstrom as a corresponding move.

Jaimes played college football at Nebraska and was a fifth-round pick of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021. He appeared in 46 games with the Chargers, making three starts. He was on the Tennessee Titans' practice squad this offseason and preseason.

Lindstrom went undrafted in the 2022 NFL draft and first broke into the NFL when he signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent. He spent most of his time on the Cowboys' practice squad, giving the organization center depth.
