The Patriots made a change to their running back depth on Tuesday when they signed Shane Watts and released Deneric Prince.
The news comes a day after Watts visited New England. He was one of the top running backs in Division II football at Fort Hays State.
During his 2024 collegiate season, Watts rushed for 1,303 yards with 13 touchdowns, and 449 receiving yards with four touchdowns.
In July, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football league announced they signed Watts.
Prince, who wasn’t present during Monday’s practice, was signed by the Patriots on Aug.
