Patriots' Rob Gronkowski continues to spike his way into NFL record book (Shutdown Corner)

Rob Gronkowski keeps taking his trademark spike to the NFL record book.

With 8:29 left in the third quarter of their AFC divisional round game, the Kansas City Chiefs inexplicably left Gronkowski uncovered in the red zone. Tom Brady wisely threw the ball to Gronkowski and Gronkowski went untouched into the end zone for his second touchdown of the day.

The score gave the Patriots a 21-6 lead, but it also marked Gronkowski's eighth touchdown in nine career postseason games.

That is the most for a tight end in NFL history; Gronkowski's first score of the day, on the Patriots' first possession, put him in a tie for the lead with Hall of Famer Dave Casper and Vernon Davis, who had seven during his time with the San Francisco 49ers.
