Throughout the summer, Efton Chism III and Elijah Ponder have truly impressed. And with that, the two undrafted free agents made a strong case for roster spots.
On Tuesday, it was confirmed that their efforts were not in vain.
MassLive's Mark Daniels reports that the New England Patriots have informed Chism and Ponder that they have made the 53-man roster.
Chism was key in the Patriots' 20-12 win over Minnesota, catching six passes for 71 yards, including a touchdown. And to get the touchdown, the wide receiver had to power through six defenders.
