Patriots Reportedly Workout Defender With Plenty Of Starting Experience

Headlined by Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis, the New England Patriots cornerbacks arguably make up the team’s strongest positional group.

And the Patriots may still look to add to that unit.

The Patriots brought in former Detroit Lions starting cornerback Jerry Jacobs for a workout Wednesday, according to MassLive’s Mark Daniels. The Patriots also worked out Christian Holmes, who played two seasons with the Washington Commanders, per KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson.

Daniels noted a deal between the Patriots and Jacobs is not imminent.

It’s understandable why the Patriots are interested in Jacobs.
