Patriots reportedly lose veteran scout Ronnie McGill to the Texans

Ever since adding Nick Caserio as their new general manager, the Houston Texans have actively stockpiled former members of his old team. The latest is veteran scout Ronnie McGill: according to report by Aaron Wilson, McGill will leave the New England Patriots to reunite with the club’s former director of player personnel in Houston.

The most senior member of the Patriots’ pro scouting department, McGill originally joined the Patriots back in 2010 — first working as a scouting assistant (2010-11) and later as a pro scout (2012-21). His role in New England was a diverse one that ranged from preparing scouting reports of upcoming opponents to evaluating the free agency market.
